I have psoriasis for 3 years and nothing has really seemed to make it go away, although some days are better than others. Night time is the worst because it itches like crazy, but I’ve never had any burning sensation like a lot of people describe. It never gets super scaly. This is pretty much what it looks like the majority of the time, just more red if I scratch. I’m also concerned because on the left side of my neck, kind of below where the red patch is, there is a knot that has been there for years as well.
The doctor at urgent care told me it was a swollen lymph node on neck due to the skin condition and to watch it, but since I’ve had it for this long, it shouldn’t be anything to worry about. It hasn’t changed in size. It doesn’t hurt. I have really bad anxiety so I think realistically I know it’s nothing to worry about, but the anxious part of me is always thinking the worst, like lymphoma. I went to the ER last year for what turned out to be a violent stomach virus and all of my blood work was normal. (SOURCE – INSTAGRAM)
